Bethany House of Prayer and the Sisters of the Chapel of St Anne invite you to register for an Eastertide retreat: Walking the Labyrinth – an Easter Spiritual Exercise.

An introduction and history of the labyrinth and suggestions on how to walk the labyrinth will be shared. There will be time dedicated for participants to walk the labyrinth, enjoy a time of reflection, journal on their experience, or spend quiet time in the Chapel. Retreatants will gather back in the Side Chapel for a time of sharing their labyrinth experiences and joining in closing prayers before returning to St. Gabriel’s House for a light lunch of homemade soups, bread and dessert.

Have you felt out of place in church—struggling with rigid traditions or with language that no longer speaks to you? Or maybe you’ve stepped away altogether, yet still long for a deeper connection with the sacred.

It will invite you to rediscover Christianity as a living mystical path. Through stories, reflection, and contemplative practice, you’ll learn to crack open the tradition’s surface and uncover the raw, life-giving energy at its heart.

Whether you’re new to contemplative practice or seeking to deepen your spiritual grounding, we invite you to join our co-Executive Director, the Rev. Matt Carriker and colleagues of Bethany House of Prayer for a four-session series that explores the rich and varied branches of Christian contemplative tradition.

Inspired by the “Tree of Contemplative Practices”, each session will gently introduce a different pathway for spiritual connection and reflection–including: Generative, Relational, Creative, Movement, Activist, and Ritual. In this session, we introduce Ritual Branch.

The day begins with a morning contemplative practice. Upon arrival, each person receives a packet with suggested ways to spend the day in quiet contemplation, focused on the theme: A New Creation.
