The afternoon “Contemplation and Ashes” will be a space for silence, prayer, song, meditation and the imposition of ashes.
There will be several prayer “stations” available for reflection in the Chapel. At 12:50pm and also at 1:20pm, Matt will lead those present in a contemplative chant and short meditation.
You can drop-in for 5 minutes or the full hour to pray about your own intentions for the 40 days of Lent.
Bethany House of Prayer also provides regular spiritual offerings, times of prayer, silence, and community, to nourish our desire for deep stillness and connection.
We draw upon ancient and contemporary practices from Christianity and other traditions to deepen our awareness of the Holy in ordinary life and to inform our actions in the world.
