Writing Crawl #3

  • Bethany House of Prayer 181 Appleton Street Arlington, MA, 02476 United States (map)

Join us at Bethany for a “writing crawl” this summer!

Teacher, Spiritual Director and avid baker Jim Meyer will offer writing prompts as we move in and around the garden. There will be a low stress opportunity to share your work.

Explore writing as a form of meditation, or as a way of remembering. Your writing may be inspired by contemplation of these holy places or just by making space to put pen to paper. We’ll provide structure for the morning, and you’ll have the company of others who are also listening, seeing, meditating, and writing.

  • Bring a journal and pen (or whatever you enjoy writing with and writing in).

  • We’ll aim to gather at 9 a.m. for coffee and scones in the side parlor of the chapel (20 Claremont Ave.) and will finish by noon.

  • RSVPs are encouraged but not required.

  • RSVP to bethanyretreats@verizon.net

  • Questions to Jim Meyer - jim.meyer@comcast.net

“A gift of a Saturday morning with writers at Bethany House.”

”A ‘writing crawl’ is a funny name for the activity, when the time, the setting, the sharing were all gifts for those of us who gathered.”
